Red Sea Trace Colors (POTASSIUM+)

Trace Elements are just as essential to corals as major elements such as calcium, alkalinity and magnesium. Although most reef enthusiasts do not need to dose these trace elements for a happy and thriving tank. If you find that your levels are low or potassium is used faster than you can replenish it with water changes, this is the product for you. 

Potassium+ plays a fundamental roll in blue/red coloration in corals as well as helps corals transport certain proteins to the symbiotic algae zooxanthellae that lives inside the coral.

Most reef tanks will do just fine with regular water changes to keep these levels within range. We recommend using ICP from Triton to really focus on making sure this is something you need to dose or not. Higher levels of potassium in a reef tank will do more harm than good while less than ideal levels will have less of an effect on corals. 

If you find that you do need to dose this element, Red Seas product is the only brand we use in all our internal systems.
